This was arguably Pools worst performance for some time as they struggled to maintain their shape, three enforced changes to the team not helping.

They were caught napping when Featherstone broke down the right finding enough space to admittedly finish well from a difficult angle. Pool steadied themselves and levelled the scores when a long free kick found Carlinhos Silva, his glancing header beating the keeper at his far post. Pools joy was short lived, Featherstone regaining the lead with a near carbon copy goal as their first. As half time approached, Pool had found their feet, and deservedly equalised again a long range effort from Edson Costa finding the top corner.

The second half was a closely fought affair, although Featherstone hit the post with their first attack, Pool were looking stronger now, so when Ian Noble was brought down in the penalty area, he stepped forward to complete the job and give Pool the lead. Pools biggest problem was the tendency to give the ball away too often, and this they did resulting in a corner from which Featherstone levelled again, and when the home team made it four it was looking like another blank day for Pool . then with virtually the last action of the match a long throw in from Josh Wagstaff was headed on by Josh Waite into the corner of the net to give Pool the point they deserved.

Pool really needed to win this match and despite the point find themselves deep in relegation danger. They have the fixtures to come to get out of trouble starting with a visit to high flying Boroughbridge next week, a team who they at least matched in their recent encounter at Pool .
