Pool suffered their heaviest defeat for many seasons, and this despite being on top for the first ten to fifteen minutes, their play following on from the good win last week. Then an error when a stray pass, put the Oxenhope striker through on goal gave the home team just what they needed, and for Pool, the wheels fell off. They were four down by the interval, and the rampant Oxenhope were not going to let them off lightly doubling their tally in the second half. All Pool can do is put this down to a bad day at the office, and re-group as their form going into this match had been excellent.
On the bright side in the closing moments of the match, the sunset over the Wuthering Heights was magnificent, almost making the long journey worth while.
